Hey. So was moving some stuff in my house and came across an old xbox console i had. The drive had stopped working so I threw that out but everything else is in tact. Checked the dashboard version and it's '7357', which is j-tag-able as far as I'm aware. The motherboard is a xenon.
Will i need the DVD drive to be able to j-tag it? I have the original stock drive firmware...well, i definitely have it, i'm just not 100% certain which it is yet.
Can i J-Tag without DVD Drive?

Re: Can i J-Tag without DVD Drive?
No need for the DVD drive when doing the JTAG. In fact, one of the uses of the JTAG is to recover your DVD keys. After your JTAG is complete, though, you might think about installing a new one. I used the DVD drive quite a bit when backing up games to my USB hard drive. There are other ways to move info to and from the hard drive such as xplorer 360 and xex menu if you don't replace the drive.
