My current LiteOn 748 drive is now dead and needs to be replaced, I have a backup of my drive so my questions is should I just replace it with another LiteOn 748 or should I be looking a different model and make + is everyone one now using the LT firmware ? :?:

Benq's are my fav drive, but some think spoofing can make you more detectable.

Although, I am not 100% sure, but I dont think LT is able to be spoofed, only the key is copied over, as the console doesnt check what drive is in it, only the key. (because the M$ service tech's got lazy I guess?)

Thanks for the responses, I've now purchased one of these drives but will I need to prepare it in any way or can I just flash it ? or do I need to use the 360 tools and use the BenQ Unlock button ?

Not flashed a drive for a while, is this the correct method:

Running XP with JungleFlasher 1.66

1) Load open source firmware (My dummy firmware from LiteOn drive).
2) Open target firmware (BenQ LT 1.2).
3) Spoof source to target and save file.
4) Select I/O port and click write.
5) Outro / ATA Reset.

Sorry if this is all wrong

1) Load open source firmware (My dummy firmware from LiteOn drive).
2) Open target firmware (BenQ LT 1.2).
3) Spoof source to target and save file.
4) Select I/O port and click intro/device id THEN click write.
5) Outro / ATA Reset.

if your drive doesnt go into vendor mode when you click the intro/device id button then try BenQ Unlock instead ;)

Tray should also be half open when trying benq unlock and intro, it usually helps.
