What happens when you turn your computer on with out The IDE's hooked up to the motherboard? If you disonnect the hard drive and cdrom drive form the motherboard and leave the IDEs unpluged And turn on your computer,what happens to your computer? Does the motherboard fry?

the only thing it will see when it goes to start is the bios and sit on a black screen
it may tell you there is no boot sector or boot devise
