"Gran Turismo 5 pushed to 2011" well its coming to the point with this game that when its on the shelf its been released and in another dimension people are today inserting a shiney new game in their PS3 called grand turismo 5 for today was the release day for the game, but lets get back to reality and back to this dimension with the news of GT5 been given a new release date.
But even that can not be confirmed for Sony had not yet responded to a request for comment on the retailer updates for it has been spotted by Joystiq, retailers including GameStop, Amazon, and Target are now listing either a January 1 2011 or December 31 2010 release date for Polyphony Digital's delayed racing sim. The update came after a "tipster" sent Joystiq an automated message from Amazon stating that the game's release date had been "changed by the publisher" with the post-Christmas date attached.

After last month's delay, Sony producer Taku Imasaki told the New York Times "We're really close, but this was an executive decision that was made yesterday. Realistically, we thought we had a good date. We're not happy over here." and he told that Sony "is shooting for it to be out by the holidays. You won't see too much more delay." In Japan, Polyphony Digital head Kazunori Yamauch commented said, "I believe we won't keep you waiting until then."

It was 2005 when this game was first anounced to be released and a budget of $60 million that makes it among the most expensive games ever made--but not the most expensive, according to Yamauchi. The game will have nearly 1,000 cars sporting 400,000 polygons each--100 times more polygons than Gran Turismo 4's vehicles had. However, unlike its predecessor, the cars in the game will take actual damage when they crash and will be fully customizable.

Anyway enjoy some go-karts looks as mad as a bucket of frogs...
