Hi Guys,

I have a liteon 74850c drive wich was running the LT firmware, i tried running the new assassins creed on it which updated the dashboard but then would not play the disc.

Today i have upgraded the drive to LT1.1 but it will still not play the game, am i missing something ???

I am not bothered about xbox live as the console is already banned.

The new dashboard has ap 2.5 built in.

AP 2.5 is a security check done on disks to make sure they are retail copies. There is a layer on the new disks that is a security layer, and can only be read by stock lite-on's and benq's. Samsung's cannot and will not eve be able to see the security sector, and I dont believe hitachi's will.

So if your drive is a benq or samsung, you will not be able to play assassin's creed brotherhood, or fable III on the current dash. Both these games have ap 2.5 built in, and when the check is done it will fail. (Samsung's and hitachi's will skip the check)

As of right now you can only play the retail version of the game, and I believe it needs to be played on stock firmware.
