(There is a way to play the game even with firmware revision 78/79, just follow these instructions and it works! I'm playing the game right now without any problems. Note: You need IXtreme 1.51 or it won't work (I assume most people have it already though).

Download new dash (SystemUpdate12611) unzip to usb flash drive ,put it in your 360 & power on.
It would seem the one on the NFS disk is not full,once youve installed the one from memory stick skip the tutorial & try your assassins creed disk again.
It does now work

Just do exactly as that states and you'll be able to play the game.)

i just tried this on my box with a hitachi 79 and it work' fine
that box is banned so im not to pushed about it

I dont recommend anyone doing this
unless you are on a banned console

there is a chance of the update flagging your console if its not banned and corrupting your profile and game save
so you cant move your HD back and forth to a stock console for live play

Good post man, I updated my 78 drive with NFS and I was unable to play need for speed.

I had the 12611 update on a usb from a few days ago, used it on my 78 console and it works like a charm now.

Like cofree said unless your on a banned 360, your not going to want to do this, your hitachi isnt live safe anyhow.
