What Firmware for AP2.5

I have a friend running the LT firmaware on a Samsung drive in his 360,

the samsung is spoofed as a benq as his original drive broke,

When he puts a game with AP2.5 protection in it recognises the disk but wont play it, just says 'the disc is unreadable'

I was under the impression that the samsung and hitachi drives skipped this check or have i done something wrong

when making a backup of the game ???

ok man
thanks for posting on the board ;)
but
you should have started your own thread in the right area.
i think for your question your post would have been better in the general info in the 360 area
what you did is called hijacking a thread
its not a big deal but its kind of rude ;)
but man its all good :D
just look around the board and you will see that most thing will have a area that is best suited for it.

haha
now to your question
hell man i dont know ive never had that happen
im not even real sure what part you knocked off (that sounds bad KNOCKED OFF) did you hurt the mobo other than that 1 part
can you not put it back on
what happened did you over heat the board and the heat gun blow the part off,hit it some how hard enough to knock it off
or what
a little info would help

It's not the spoof that is the issue. BenQ's and Lite-on drives are the only 2 that will do the ap 2.5 check. AP 2.5 data does not exist on a backup game so the check will fail.

Your console looks at the OSIG (original drive that should be in the console) and if its a benq or lite-on the check will take place.

He doesnt need a new drive, he needs new firmware, it will be released in the next week or so its looking like.
