I have one 360 which gets a red light on bootup and wont display anything. DVD drive - BenQ VAD6038
someone gave me a 360Elite with its DVD Drive broken. also BenQ - sticker defaced though unsure of model

So I wanted to know if I swap the Drives over, How would I make a backup of my Drives Firmware?

I have read around and maybe I need to make the Drive recognised by windows and use toolbox to save a firnware or is that only for other brand of DVD Drives?

Thanks

the only way to do what you are talking about is to spoof in that benq drive
its not live safe to use a console with a spoofed in dvd drive

ok so maybe i should not use it for live and go for a CFW to play backups, but i still need to backup the firmware from the old BenQ in order to spoof in the new one? which method is best?
