plays originals fine, starts the backups fine and after a couple minutes sort of locks up and a message pops up and says unreadable,,,,,,strange

and it does that with all backups
if so then there is something wrong with the flash
i would say start over
build a new hacked firmware and re-flash
if it only does it with a few backups then that a different story

i forgot to mention that the drive im using is an identical replacement drive, i had a lite on 7485 and it failed, so i got another one and spoofed the key and new firmware to it, not sure if that might be part of the problem

that could be man
they said a spoofed drive would not work
i was thinking it would not work on live
but
hell it may not work at all
i only have a few that have spoofed dvd drives in them
when i get one ill see what happens
flash back to a older LT firmware and see what happens,it could give us some answers
that is if you want to

I have flashed a Ben-q spoofed as a lite-on with LT+ and it works fine ( i use it offline ) i have had this problem with a few lite-on drives when i have left the laser connected when flashing to the latest LT+ firmware and i have swapped the laser and it worked fine afterwards. Perhaps you have a weak laser in you drive?
