anything different with the elite when flashing than the core? the core i had was stolen last night, so i guess it is time to upgrade. from what i researched already it looks like all the drives are able to be flashed fairly easily.anyway to know which drive is in the box before purchase? thanks in advance

all drives are flashable in the older console
but if you are going out to buy a new slim then they are not

Yep, like cofree said, all drives are flashable.

Flashing is treated on a drive to drive basis, the type of console the drive came out of does not matter. You can have a halo console, and an arcade and if they both have the same drive in them, they are both flashed exactly the same.
