Robin Hoods Playground

How do you start a computer in DOS? My computer got a virus and it won't start up anymore at all. It just comes up with the compaq (computer brand) screen and then just black. So I thought that if I could start it in DOS, then I could format C: and then reinstall Windows. Can anyone help me?

just start the pc with your windows disc in the cd/dvd drive and it should
start the reload

if not then you have to go into the bios and set cd/dvd drive as boot 1
and HD 2nd
then restart with the windows disc in the drive
and reload your pc
