ok guys just need to know if i can put my key from my 8 series v.1 drive into a 7 series drive without being detected on line. and will it play the games ok because i have read that spoofing the drives can have problems now playing the games. or will it be ok with them both being liteon drives

well cofree out of desperation i got hold of a benq drive and spoofed my liteon 8v1 firmware key to the benq drive and everything went fine playing all games no problems. Am i just lucky because i thought spoofing didnt work anymore

if you are running the latest firmware and the game has ap25
then no it should not play

i have a few i would love to be able to spoof in a sam v28 dvd drive to get them working again

HI COFREE JUST TO CONFIRM THIS CONSOLE IS RUNNING THE LATEST LT.PLUS AND IS PLAYING BLACKOPS AP.25 IT IS A BENQ DRIVE WITH THE FIRMWARE SPOOFED HAS A LITEON 8 V.1 JUST USED MY L83CFW AS THE SOURCE AND THE BENQ LTPLUS AS TARGET AND SPOOFED THE KEY ALL WORKS GREAT. NO KIDDING HERE COFREE. IF ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO WORK THEN I CANT UNDERSTAND WHY IT IS. JUST LIKE TO ADD THAT I USED IPREP TO WRITE THE FIRMWARE

Man I'm not sure. Everything that has been put out about the lt+ says that you're not supposed to be able to do this. Though I've never tested this, it's something i'm gonna have to try soon.

I've heard of a few people doing this.

I think if you are swapping a drive that is capable of AP 2.5 (lite-on or benq) it has to be with another drive capable of the check. IE: Lite-on with benq or benq with lite-on.

I'm fairly certain if your swapping a samsung, or hitachi out you can use any drive.

Also, it's definitely not live safe, but i've heard of a few people doing it.

Personally I have a console which has a benq spoofed as a samsung in a console of mine and it play's ap 2.5 games fine I believe.

That makes since. It's something I'd like to test though.

it dont work all i get is a open drive
ive tried many drive combination and its want work

i would love to find a way to spoof in a drive
i could careless about live
we all have 2nd consoles running for live

Ive got to come back in here i know what your saying cofree but i am running this benq drive spoofed has a liteon 8 v.1 and its playing ap.25 games. ive been on this site a long time im 51 years of age and not in to telling stories i tried a liteon 7 series first but had the same problem with open tray but discovred the only reason for that was because the laser was crap in that to but played the originals ok. so thats when i had a try with the benq and its working fine i know its not safe with live but like you said we all have the second console for that reason

It worked for me also I spoofed a samsung toshiba as benq with newest lt and everything works fine it was on a console that was already banned so dont need to worry about xbl
