ABGX Video Partition Corruption After HDD Transfer

Hi all,

i recently transferred all my backup ISOs to an external hard drive and i recently found out that they all have errors. I've tested ISOs that were ripped to my internal and there were no issues at all, but when i transfer to the external and check with ABGX again, sure enough the video partition becomes corrupt. i have downloaded and extracted all of the ABGX video wave files as well. any help would be appreciated.

I transfer all my backups to external drives and have never had 1 corrupt. Just leave the pc alone while it transfers see if that helps

Video padding contains data

that should never happen
the padding is nothing but a crap load of "00000000000000000000000000000000000000000"
check your iso on the pc if it has the same thing then the iso is bad
if its good on the pc then something happened in the move to the HD from the pc
i have moved more than a few to a Hd and never had any trouble

When checking a game that is on my internal I get 0 errors through abgx and everything goes perfectly. But if I take that same iso, transfer to the external and recheck, I get errors like the one above. So I know for a fact its not the rip, yet the transfer process itself. But I don't see a reason for this to be happening considering I've transferred to and from drives before (although, this is a new external I'm using now)

do a full format of the drive and change the port you are using to hook it to the pc

I can't tell from your log, is the game CRC ok? I have a different value for it. In any case, if it's just the video partition that's messed up, you can patch the images with the video files in abgx or rip them from other images.

I don't know how your computer could mess up that one part of all your files like that. It sounds like the most likely suspect is the external though. Check it for badblocks, move a bunch of files to it, as close to full as possible, then checksum them and compare against the originals.

The game CRC's were not matching, even though i do a screenshot of my ABGX log every time i check my games and they were all okay before the transfer

I do have good news though: for an unrelated reason i formatted my hard drive on my PC today (not the external containing the games) and upon getting everything all setup i've found that the games that were previously giving me errors miraculously aren't anymore. i've checked about 10 games so far and haven't run into a single issue. I didn't change anything or alter any files on the external whatsoever, but for some reason my PC just didn't want to cooperate with it before the reformat

Just thought i would let you all know of this anomaly, and hopefully someone can come forward with some reason this may have happened
