heads up just so i am clear flashed multiple drives brfore so i thought i knew everything err guess not

!... came accross a stock 7s lite on yesterday made 2 separate dumps using jungle flasher 1.79 with probe 3 mpxo1 also checked inquiry serial barcode all data is precise.
flashed drive no problem - tried it wont play anything not even dvds .
so i thought must be key! re-flashed using 2nd key dump also tried 6 different variants still xbox will not read any media at all.
ok must be the drive flashed key in spare 7s liteon using 2 different machines still same out come . its as if console does not like lite on . so flashed a samy orig firm spoofed as liteon with key . wont play games but will play dvds.
any answers?
thanks in advance

a drive will play a dvd even if you have the wrong key in the firmware(or no key for that matter)
i would check sata cable
thats the only thing i can think of that could do all you are saying

yep first thing i did cofree.... any way i went to town on this bad boy just because it was something i never come across before.
after extensive flashing .
74805 ofw spoofed as all drives did not work
74805 flashed with all firmwares did not work
tried my sammy again spoofed as 74805 did not work
This did work !!!!Sammy ms 28 OFW with manually entered key works perfectly.!!!!
question why sammy worked when 3 different liteon drive with all firmwares didnt ?
the key is obviously good and we now know it works so it could only mean that the board has just decided the its osig now has to be a sammy!
so flash all 3 liteon spoofed as the same sammy that worked still no reads what so ever.
tried liteons in verious other machines all read perfect....

yep that works too!!!
it just wont read lite-ons... it was a virgin drive !!! with stock liteon fw no spoofing !! i just do understand why?
i think i will leave this as one of those unexplainable cases .. if you would like the link will show you full liteon dvd32 dump just so you can see for your self and also my sammy fw that worked in the drive with the key.

Thing is, if you leave the sammy in the console your going to have AP 2.5 issues.

I had simular problem when i flashed my lite on v7 from IX1.61 to LT+ read everything before hand and as soon as i flashed would only read dvds and original games not my back ups. Thing is i left the ribbon from the pcb to the dvd drive while flashing instead of removing it, which must have blown it slightly. I bought a new laser and installed it and now works fine as before. Hope this is a little help to ya.

There is no reason to disconnect any ribbon's when flashing any drive, not to mention when you are flashing and dumping firmware you are not interacting with anything except the flash chip on the pcb. If you shorted the drive by plugging in the power connector wrong, that would have caused a short on your pcb and nothing else really.
Weird case but your laser was probably just tired, seems like lt+ is more strict on what games it will play. It's almost like if the laser is having a hard time grabbing data from the disk, the drive times out and gives you an unreadable error, where as with the stock FW, or other ixtremes theyre a bit laid back and will give the drive more time to read data. There are loads of reports of people claiming they cant read dvds backups or originals after flashing lt+

solved
removed the board placed into another drive rewired soldered contacts ...all works
removed board placed back into old drive same error... its the drive mech is causing signal read errors!!!
wow its a first!!!
