keyboard playing up

i have borrowed my sons laptop to come on here as mine is playing up i have just done a reinstale due to as bad virus but now when i press m it comes out o , any ideas please i have been on to control panel and language settings put them as united kingdom but still the same

after many fresh installs ive never even heard of that happening
if its a laptop
plug in a usb keyboard and see if it does the same thing

You've changed your language setting but have you changed your keyboard setting?
It could also be something to do with the keyboard itself. Like cofree said, you might want to try a usb keyboard. You can also google your laptop brand and 'keyboard wrong keys' or something along those lines.
