Help w/ Benq

Post by darrenp76 »

I tried to mod my friends Benq and I saved the OFW of the drive. I have modded a couple of these before with no problems but this machine gave me one. I flashed it with 1.4 and it wont even turn on, in the bottom right corner of the four lights on the 360 a red light flashes.

I put the orig firmware through the toolbox 4.5 and it looks good.

I am assuming I have to put the original back on there. I followed this :
viewtopic.php?f=110&t=196" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
After putting it back on, when I read the drive it comes up with an error message all in red at the bottom something about the firmware being bad/ not available.

What can I do to fix this?

hmmm
ive not seen that before.
when you did the restore go into detail on how/what/when you did things.
try to list everything.
the key looks good when you open the firmware with firmware toolbox right.it was a lot of different letters and numbers

did you get what the error was on the 360 when it had the 1 red light on.

Hi Cofree,

The error is E65

The firmware off the drive looks like this:

Benq VAD6038-64930C
ED83- REMOVED BY MsK -1C7A

When I reflash the drive i'm using this bin. When I rben it, it says "erased".

Oh, when I restored it, I did not have to on, off, on. I soon as I turned it on it did its thing and said it was "erased" and to turn off the drive..

after erasing it needs to write all 4 banks

do the "rben xxxxxxx xxxxx" again & make sure it writes all banks

Your key looks good but I don't think it's a good idea to publish it - so I edited it out ;)
