third party HDD?

third party HDD?

is it possible to use A TP HDD and not get banned or has MS put a lock down on this. did some googling and the vote seems to be 50/50 and those post were 1 -3 years old.

You can end up being banned, but for the most part M$ doesnt care about that sort of stuff a whole lot. The things most important to them are keeping developers happy IE: keeping piracy at a minimum. Having a third party HDD does not have any impact on piracy either way.

I doubt you will be banned, but at the end of the day, microsoft has the right to ban you for doing that modification, and they could if they felt like it. (However they seem to be more focused on AP 2.5 and possibly AP 3.0)

Also, I've never heard of anyone being banned for a third party HDD,, but again, they have the right and the ability to ban you for doing such a thing. I'm not 100% sure they can detect it, or are even checking HDD's. aside from the SS (Security Sector)
