can i still use ps3break to play backups. i was fixin to order the dongle to load my games onto my ps3 but was not sure if the new version will allow it of is there a new dongle out there.

No you need to be on 3.55 or lower to do it.

how can i downgrade to the right version?

If your on 3.56 or higher there is no way of downgrading right now.
