jtag not dumping anymore

I had this dumping but was getting non identical dumps EVERYTIME, so i shortened the wires, from then it will not read so today i removed everything for the lpt cable and i made complete wires with spare resistor stems on the ends to get a good connection and isolated them, powers plugged into the 360 and its still not dumping..any ideas ? could the NAND have got killed somehow ?..originally i was using resistor but couldnt get a read, the laptop is a very old one so i removed the resistor and was getting reads ok...could the removal of these gradually killed the NAND ?..im really stumped here and dont know what to try. i tried EPP, ECP and bi driectional mode for the LPT in bios..it was reading on one of them before
