Dashboard update won't let me play my backups

Hi Guys,
Please help.
I have an Xbox with a lite-on drive that I had flashed on june 2009. I never used to go on Xbox live so I
never really had any problems. However, I decided to sign up for Xbox live so that I could
watch Netflix and was asked to do an update. I performed the dashboard update (august 2011) which is the
Kinect update and now I can't play any of my backups.
What do I need to do so that I can play my games again?
Sorry to sound like a complete newb at this (which I really am).

the dash update also flashed your drive back to stock firmware mate, you will need to flash your drive again

So, after I get it flashed again, I should not accept any more updates?

well your best bet would be to come straight here if you get prompted to take another dash update, shouldnt be seeing another one too soon i would think, this way you will know if its safe or not to take the update

Ok, I see. Well, a few years ago I had Sadalius do a flash for me and it was very well done. From what I gather he is not doing them at the moment. Can you recommend anyone in the U.S. Who can do a flash for me and who is trustworthy?
