Fairplay they are amazing, i had been using BulkPaq orange face discs for my games, i run out so i bought Datawrite red face discs, they were poor! i burned a copy of Deus Ex Human Revolution, put it in my console and the disc title wouldnt even show up! just said play game, i tried looking for more BulkPaq orange face discs but they are sold out eveywhere, i dont think they are made anymore :/ so i fort ill give Verbatim a go, bought 5 off ebay for £5, once they come i burned Dues Ex again, the title showed up and it also installed with no problems! SERIOUSLY GUYS THEY ARE A MUST BUY NEVER MIND THE PRICE

I use Aone,they have never failed me and I get them for £8 for 25.But having said that louisM92,yes,verbs have got to be the best out there

i had a couple of aone discs off a friend before so i tried them out, sometimes a game would install but other times it wouldnt so i burned the game til it installed had them for nothing so i thought why not

the big thing is
with verbatim disc,if you are having trouble with something as long as you burned on verbatim disc
MOST of the time its not the disc that is the problem
its something else

with other disc there is a chance its the disc that could be the trouble
but im all about saving money
if you have a disc that you know work good then by all means use it

i know what you mean about saving money i dont like to play too many games at a time so the 5 i bought should last me a while

Verbatim are by far the best. however an inexpensive alternative that has yielded the best success is the Phillips DVD-DL. I have burned about 800 and have had maybe 10 not burn or work correctly. pretty good track record. They run about 39.99 for a 50pk. I buy from meritline.com

Have tried some off brands that work fine, but gotta wonder if the laser has to work harder to keep up (thus burn out faster). 50 pack of verbatims is $48, so maybe the price you save on a pack (or 5 packs+) of off brand can make up for burning out a laser, which is less than $8.

Gonna try a pack of the cheaper brand next, will report results if not successful. Wish me luck, and thanks for the tip on ones that work correctly.

that is correct moonknight
the laser does have a harder time read cheap disc
it will reread to fix error it picks up and makes it work harder
but
in the end most of the time the dvd drive will out last the console
