hmmmm
man you are on thin ice :(
it being a liteon there is other info that is needed
there is serial information that also has to be in the firmware other than the key.

that console will get banned if its put back on live without that info in the firmware

as long as you have the key
you should be able to get it going but
ap25 games may give you trouble
i think that ser info is needed for some of the checks a console does with ap25 game

there is no way to get anything off the drive now that it has been erased
this is getting harder man
at this point you almost need one of the guys on that side of the pond to get there hands on it and help
but
we can work on it all you would like
but like i said
its on thin ice

it is just the key and not the firmware right :?:

That's really nice of you louism92 and if time wasn't a problem i would send it to you straight away.
There is a local shop i go to and he has flashed drives for me before,if i take it to him do you think he would be able to flash it for me?
He has all the right kit, probes and connectivity etc.
Would he just need the drive or the case as well?
I want to get it done ASAP and give it back to him and tell him i have now gone into retirement lol.
Really nice of you to offer to do it m8,i really apprecaite that.
Thank you.
ODGE.

Sorry Cofree m8,i have the firmware.
There are 5 bin files in a folder that is the firmware isn't it?
Getting late over here and i am tired now lol.
The Live! issue is not a problem at all,and i have asked him will he ever be going on Live! with it and he told me no.He says it will be purely for offline playing backups.

at this point man
before you keep working with the powre from the console
i would say take it to the guy
IF HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING :?

ok
you are back in good shape man :D
having the firmware is great :!:

if it was me all you would need to bring is the drive and a copy of the firmware .
but
i would tell you to bring the console so i could test it after the flash

your out of the deep end and back in shallow water mate :) if you have those 5 files then the guy at the shop should know exactly what hes doing, if he doesnt then he should stop flashing consoles :L

those files contain all the neccesary info your drive needs

let us know how things get on mate :)

Hello Louism92 and CoFree and any body else that offered their advice in trying to help me with this.
Been to see my m8 at the shop and he has managed to get the drive up and running and flashed to LT 2.0.
He says it was a right pain and it took him most of the day, charged me £30.00 which i think is quite reasonable and i can also face my m8 who's console it is and not feel terrible now.
I cannot thank you all enough for all the advice and help.
Been a real pleasure speaking to you all and i hope to speak to you again soon.
All the best.
ODGE.
