does anyone know how to root the incredible with the gingerbread 2.3.4 update on it

If you were rooted with s-off before 2.3.4 update you should still have s-off and you should be able to just go through the steps of flash a custom recovery and install superuser .
If you were previously s-off, boot to the bootloader and see if it still says s-off.
If not, There is nothing official out yet, but the dev's are working hard on it.
