So I restored my stock firmware for my lite-on drive but when I turn my game on it still says "update stopped please enter the game to continue update" and it gives a status code at the buttom. How can this be fix?
Thanks again.
Restore stock firmware but still stuck in update loop
Re: Restore stock firmware but still stuck in update loop
It's looking for a game update. Put the game that last updated back in and see whats happens. Is the dash up to date? What game was it?

Re: Restore stock firmware but still stuck in update loop
Thank you for responding I really appreciate it. My game has been down for almost a month, I really need some help.
It was a copy of fifa 12. I cannot enter into the dashboard as each time I turn on the game it takes me str8 into that loop.
Thanks again.

Re: Restore stock firmware but still stuck in update loop
Also, try removing your hard drive, or plug in a hard drive that already has been updated, that will sometimes trigger it to update from the HDD not game. As far as I know if you hold sync while powering on it should cancel the update it is currently trying to do, and boot into whatever dash is installed. (Then force you to update if you go on live or play a game with the new dash on it)
Either way you should be able to update the console from another source, like a USB drive, or a second hard drive. If it's being a real pain you can burn the update to a normal dvd/cd and put that in the drive, i've updated a couple consoles like that.

Thanks again guys, I'll definately try these options once I get home. This is really a big pain in the head and a good laugh for the lady as she is getting some time with me. LOL.
Anyways I will definately try the sync method and see what happens.
Thanks again, I'll keep you guys posted as what is the outcome.

It didn't work.. Tried holding down the sync button while turning on the game, nothing happened. Is there a special way to do this?
Oh, I also tried using a hard drive that had the updates already installed nothing happened. Is it that I need to put the original Fifa 12 game in the drive?
Thanks

Re: Restore stock firmware but still stuck in update loop
I suggest that you should attempt the update using an original game, like GOW3 or Madden 12. Just put the game in the DVD a usual and boot the xbox.
I had the same issue. I tried taking the update using a usb stick and a burned CD they all failed.
