dump the original drive if you have not already done so with iprep.
then...
dump the new drive with iprep in a diff folder :
http://www.robinhoodsplayground.com/for ... 7467#p7466" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
then...
BACKUP the original drives firmware to someware safe & away from being modified !!!important!!!
open up the 1st dump from the master drive in firmware toolbox & 1st check the key -
if it's good >
copy it to clipboard or notepad (preferably notepad & saved).
then...
open up the replacement drive dump in firmware toolbox
>but this time open the hacked version "BENQ-CFW.bin"<
& replace the key with the one on your clipboard or that you have saved to notepad via copy & paste.
after pasting in click "replace key" & close.
then...
boot into iprep & flash the new hacked & key injected firmware to the replacement drive
I guess some folk would suggest you could just flash the dump from one drive to another but I would personally do it this way.

no.. you still prepare iprep in the usual way
after you have successfully dumped each drive with iprep into separate locations (
see link) you will find
"2 files per dump"
- [master drive]
location1/BENQ-OFW.bin (orginal firmware)
location1/BENQ-CFW.bin (hacked firmware)
-----------------------------------------------------------
[replacement drive]
location2/BENQ-OFW.bin (orginal firmware)
location2/BENQ-CFW.bin (hacked firmware)
but you will need to transfer the key from the master drive to the replacement drive with a program called "
firmware toolbox"
Then use iprep to physicly flash the new (replacement) drive with the >hacked & key injected firmware<

well
if what you are wanting to do is replace your benQ dvd drive with a new benQ dvd drive in your 360.
Then all you have to do is dump your firmware from the orig dvd drive that came in your 360.
Then flash the hacked firmware that firmtool makes into the new dvd drive you want to put in your 360.
but
it has to be the same drive.
you can not take a benQ firmware and flash it into any other 360 dvd drive (samsung, hitachi)
to do that then the firmware would have to be spoofed.
if you are not 100% about this
by all means ask questions till you get a answer you understand.
make sure to keep a copy of your orig firmware that was in the orig 360 dvd drive. At the least keey the key that is in the firmware.

firmware toolbox will only create custom firmware for the hitachi drives. iprep creates the custom firmware for the samsungs and Benq's. Just follow the guides that we already have for your particular drive in the tutorials section of the site.

well man i would use firmware toolbox to put the key in.
it will do it for you.
then you can use that firmware to flash in the dvd drive.
but
can you not get a dump from the orig benq dvd drive.that would be the easiest way dump the orig firmware then just flash that in the new benq dvd drive .
then do like normal and dump/flash and it should be good to go.

Yea i get you now. I know i can judt dump the firmware off the benq drive and flash it on another benq drive.
So if i want to use another brand make i.e. samsung, hitachi, i will have to get the hacked firmware for the new drive and open it in FIRMWARE TOOL and put my benqs KEY in and spoof it as benq right?
