iPrep says "no valid fw loaded"

I've followed several different tuts on how to unlock these liteon drives, I have 2 of them both of which are locked, and I can't seem to finger it out. Using iPrep 9 trying to create the bootable flash I can't get it to just load the fw....any fw. I've tried every .bin, dummy, rar blah blah blah I have and it keeps coming up with no valid FW loaded. Help me before I kill it.

Haven't had to do this for a while, but here goes. Iprep is old and won't recognize new fw, so create your iprep flash using older fw (from like the end of 2009 or early 2010). After it is created, make a new fw using jf, and save it as litcfw.bin. Make a folder, call it 1111111, then make a sub folder and name it 11111. Put the cfw bin into this folder. Now transfer this 11111111 folder to your iprep flash drive, place it in the backups folder (I think that is what it was called).

Now boot from your iprep flash drive and follow the instructions for WRITING liteon cfw. Location for the file is 1111111, then 11111.

Hope this helps, anyone reading this feel free to edit/correct as necessary.

Thanks sir,

I tried using the oldest iXtreme FW I could find, I can't seem to get xbins to launch though so that might be what my problem is there. In the tut it says use 1.61 if I'm not mistaken. If someone has a link to that FW repack I'd appreciate it.
