Can phat drive be locked as a slim while updating?

Just a quick question. I was wondering if the latest dash update can make your xbox360 phat locked like it does to slim? if yes then what is the best way to avoid this situation while updating to latest dash? I need to update 2 xbox's to latest dash one with benq drive and other one with the lite-on 74s drive, both running LT1.9 at the moment. Thanks in advance.

not as far as im aware.make sure the drives are on stock fw before you update dash.then flash with newest LT

Thanks for reply mate so as long as i have got stock firmware before any major update i should be fine.

yes mate.the drive will be re-flashed with 0251fw(liteon) but as long as you got keys you can just flash with LT3.0
