Robin Hoods Playground

I want to connect my PS3 and my computer to the same internet connection and both work at the same time. I bought a 5-port ethernet ports so i can connect my computer and my ps3 to it while connecting the modem so i can connect the computer and the ps3 together, but it only works for my computer and doesnt work for my ps3. Can you please help?

make sure the cat5 cable going to the ps3 is good
another thing you could try is a different port of the switch.
also your ps3 has built in wifi
so if you have a router with wireless try to get on the net with your ps3 wireless
