i flashed my samsung with 4X by accident, but i wanted 12x. how can i reflash the sammy with 12x? i have the flash drive with all the info. text book saids you should use the same flash drive and just overwrite ( textbook method 1 overwrite) the 4X with the 12x. then use the same serial number when you dump and then reflash. now my problem is that when i try to dump, i use the same serial number but the dump is aborted because the directory is the same (1234567 12345). i did use the 0800 disc to get passed FG (i guess the disc worked but i dont know). should i just make a new serial number, so the frimware can dump?

ok man
just start the whole thing over.
build your usb flash with the 12x speed firmware you want.
then dump the dvd drive let firmtool run and build your new 12x hacked firmware.
then flash.
thats it your done.
on the sam dvd drive you can just flash over a older flash with a newer one.
if you have any questions just ask

Make a copy of the backup file that's on the usb flash drive to your computer somewhere and then just delete that file from the usb drive. Then do as cofree said and just start over with iprep.
