Ubuntu Hardy Heron

Post by BobSeager »

Hi All,

I have a HDD formatted in NTFS. Whenever I clean install Hardy Heron it goes ok...but upon reboot I either get a black screen with a blinking underscore on the left and nothing else.

Or

More commonly I get ERROR 16: INCONSISTENT FILES SYSTEM

Anyone know if I need to create a fat16 or fat32 to do this? :x

Thanks!

I think if your not going to run a dual boot scenario, it would be best to use the linux file system for any version of linux. I've never installed ubuntu, but I would imagine that it would have the option to partition and format the hard drive during the setup and that would be what I would do in this case.
