CUSTOMGAMEWERKZ-THESE GUYS ARE A TOTAL RIP OFF!!!-Okay so I sent them my xbox 360 with the hitachi drive and a passkey. and this is what I get back one week later-Dear Mr. XXXX I'm sorry to inform you that the mod of your Xbox360 didn't go as planned. I was able to succesfully install the chip however, Once I got the console into mode B and was preparing to flash it the drive disappeared out of windows explorer. Upon further exam I found the drive stop functioning altogether. I did my best to get it to function again to no avail, unfortunately this type of thing happens once in a while and I am sorry for this issue however customers assume full responsiblity for any damages due to modifications and there are NO REFUNDS!! I have sent back your console and mod-chip. Once again I am truly sorry for the problems this has caused!!.

IF THIS IS ISN'T THE BIGGEST BUNCH OF BULL I'VE EVER HEARD-I SEND THEM A WORKING XBOX 360 AND THE DESTROY IT AND HAVE GOTTEN MY MONEY AND NOW REFUSE TO HELP ME-COST ME $80.00 WHICH THEY WON'T REFUND DESTROYED MY WORKING DRIVE AND THEY CALL THIS SERVICE??

Yikes, this makes me not want to mess with this stuff anymore... I can't afford to mess up... Unless I become an ass like that guy.

There are good modders it's guys like this that give them a bad name. I want anyone that reads your site to beware I got taken and just don't want this to happen to anyone else

Sounds like he fooked up the installation of the passkey! if he did not get a dump & the drive can no longer be placed into modeB the next available option is send the drives board to a specialist that can remove the firmware chip & read it's contents in a programmer - he/she should then be able to obtain your drive key this way & then you can ontain a new drive, inject your key & spoof etc.

The person that undertook the initial mod work in the 1st place should take responsability for this & meet the costs...

the v79 is a big pain in the ass even for someone that can solder well.

the problem with that guy is you are not the only one that he has messed up.

Well an update to my dilema I sent my box to VGC repairs in Cali and before I did that I made sure I could speak to a "live" person. Anyway he recieved my box on thursday called him on friday and told me that the modder screwed up the install of the passkey but he was aboe to fix so he shipped it back to me on friday and I got it on monday working fine!!-and gave me a six month warranty on the drive-Now that's what I call good customer service!!

Good news man. What was the charge to fix it if you don't mind my asking?

1. He charged me $60.00 which included shipping from Cali to NC USPS priority

2. Cofree-I sent you the infor per your request if you don't get it let me know.

3. No MK the guy went out of business and took his website down and disconnected his phone. Just hope he doesn't pop up again with another site. so this happens to someone else I did get a PM from another guy that had sent him his PS2 and he bricked his unit as well and took his money.

But you know what they say what goes around always comes around and hopefully this guy will get it back in spades!

sounds like he did that a lot. he probably just relied on that, screwing people out of their money and nice things.

doubledee if u new that was gonna happen u shoulda tryed to flash it on your own
