<c4eva> i have found some things that are not yet known about the lite-on, it will be done!
Lite-On hack Possibility-O-Meter [50.1%]'
Who know HE may get in this thing after all.
UPDATE!!
Team Xecuter, the team that made the xecuter series of mod chips for the original xbox, who has been retired from making modchips for some time now has agreed to take a look at the new Lite-on drives. They say they would prefer a software flash, but claim that it looks nothing more than a read only masked flash rom. They claim it probably wouldn't be much more complicated than the work that they did with the original xbox. They also say they are being sent a couple of the drives for analysis and promise to take "a look". They are not promising to come out of retirement though. But maybe it will be easy for them to figure out and either provide a way for the software flash developers to get things done, they have acknowledged that C4E maybe on to something, or maybe actually come out of retirement and give us a chip.
