ive been talking to a guy on a diff 360 forum and he says the liteon is cracked. here is out convo

Wolve: From what I have been reading on it, it would have to be done with a chip, but of course I may be wrong.
This is awesome news, but I think it may be a bigger pain in the ass to do than the Hitachi 79 series drives.
I'm definitely keeping my eye out on further developments in this news.

if its a chip they wouldnt have much trouble making it stealth, nd it wudnt need a fw.
i think it may be a flash but need summin to get it into flashable state

And without him lets just say that there wouldnt been 79unlock him and c4eva found out there was a music datastream inside the passkey that maximus makes.

we know there is a hack being worked on by c4e & perhaps some others too...
there's also lots of rumours & hear say being bashed about on irc & forums that I tend to ignore.. I prefer to just wait for the hack than get sucked into all the tilly tally - when it's ready every1 will know

If there is new solid development then by all means post it up.
there is 4 or 5 of us here at RHPG that keep up with just about everything 360 on many different sites.
Not the least of which is xboxhacker.

I don't think the hack for the lite-on is quite ready yet. Its about half way there actually. All I'm going to say about it is lite-on owners will have to wait a while longer for it to come to fruition.

You guys are being polite... that post comes up as total bollocks to me. I'm not buying into until c4e makes a statement himself. I'm not knocking you m60_maniac, I just don't believe those guys are being honest with you.

Being polite, not able to say anything, call it what you want, lite-on owners are still going to have to wait a while longer. It just isn't ready. Everything else is just conjecture unless it's officially announced.

you can say that again sess, i really hate stuff like this and hersay altogether.

maybe it's not fake, but still it's just dumb to even post things like this, just wait if/when it's actually hacked and then you can post a topic like this.

there is just a lot of people waiting for a fix on the dvd drive.
so filling will run high.

lets just wait till we get good solid proof that a fix is out.
