what is wrong with my benq drive?

Ok, so i have flashed my drive at least 10 different times using dosflash. Each time it works seemingly fine.
I am using a nForce 430 chipset with SATA cord connected to my benq drive:
First I read in the drive by waiting for d1 to show, turn off driver, turn back on... write ORIG.BIN
Second go back into windows use firmtool to create benq-ix.bin file.
Third reboot into dos, run dosflash, erase firmware, erased...OK!
Forth write new firmware, enter C:\benq-ix.bin, writing1... OK! writing2...OK! ... done

So it seems to work fine but when i try to play a backup iso disc it complains that I should try cleaning the disc!?!?
Also I have tried my backups of original xbox games and i get a related message that it does not support this game, when i have already checked the list of backwards compatible games and doom3 is on the list.

will it play a orig 360 game

if not then you will need to do a restore.
if it will then make sure your backups are good

Yes, it still plays my original xbox 360 games.
Is there a way to check if the back up is good or are do you suggest I just create another one?
What image burning program do you suggest I use to create my backups?
I used CloneCd to create each of my back ups if that makes a difference or not.
Thanks

clone cd will work as long as you use the dvd file that has the layer break.
this goes over burning.
