Unreadable disc *ALL GAMES*

I have read and tried many solutions for getting the disc to be read by the 360. I checked the magnet and it was fine. I took out the motor and added some lube.
The disc begins to spin, and the laser bounces back and forth trying to read the disc. this happens a few times then reads unplayable disc. the same thing happens for backed up games, regular games, and DVDs.
I have a HItachi 46DH
Thanks for any help.

my first opinion would be the lens is broken.
If this happens with original disks.

Did it ever read after you flashed it? Or is this a problem since you flashed your drive? Make sure you have a good dump of the fw from the drive so that if it goes completely you will be able to spoof in a different drive or replace it with another 46.

you may want to read up on doing the pot tweak. replacing the laser or dvd drive is something you may have to do.
here is a pot tweak guide to read over.

It played fine after flashing. Almost a year.
I have another bricked BenQ. Is there any way I could use the lens from the BenQ or use the Drive from the Hitachi in the BenQ?
My first opinion was lens was broken too, but wanted to get another opinion. Also to see if there were any other options to getting this thing working again.
I will read up on the pot tweak. Thanks for the advice.

you can't swap the hit & benq laser - they are different!
but you can swap drives & apply alittle spoofing... by the term "I have another bricked benq" what exactly is bricked??

Have you tried to simply clean the laser lens? This has cured a few thats ended up on my workbench. Although it may not solve your problem, or you may have already tried. Worth a look see though.

I was flashing my first BenQ and the flash went bad and I panicked. I tried everything to fix it and in the mix I reformatted the drive i was using and lost the key to the Original FW. So it is bricked.
