MS-25 problems

Hey all

flashed an ms-28 fine on my motherboard the other night (nForce 4), but I've run into problems with a MS-25. I think my problem is that the drive is open (unlike the MS-28)..... Vista doesn't like it, the moment I power the drive, I get a blue screen - DRIVER IRQ is less or equal. Straightaway, that tells me it's a hardware conflict. Is there anyway round this? Is there a driver available for this drive for Vista, I'm sure that would sort it...

I tried flashing in DOS, it lists the drive as Xtreme Pri Master but I can't get it to read. I don't know if that's because it's not VIA (I thought you could flash the ms-25 on pretty much anything..?).

I'll be annoyed if I can't flash this on my motherboard. This is the only drive that I've come stuck on so far, and it's meant to be the most compatible...

 Forget it, just had to leave the drive on when it tells you to power down (using iprep)

yeah, just left the drive powered and Iprep dumped it...

I was trying dosflash 32 at first, but vista crashed every time I powered the drive

I prefer to do it all in DOS (with the exception of preparing the flash drive) & I still use an old build of iprep.. if it aint broke don't fix it :D

I do have problems with vista tho.. For benqs I have to build my usb flash in XP for it to work properly
Fortunatly for me I run a dual boot system ;)...
