ok i flashed my 360 about a month ago i was just wondering on my usb stick at the time of the flash my 360 in my back up file thats on my usb stick it has 2 files in it are these my original files berfore i flashed my 360 ??

BENQ-CFW.BIN
BENQ-OFW.BIN

now if this is my original firmware these 2 files abouve that was on my 360 before i flashes it how can i flash it back to my 360 to put the origunal firmware on my 360 again thanx

have a look at this guide.it will go into doing a restore on your benq.

i just flashed it with what was on my usb stick from last flash its the hack firmware
so how do i get the BENQ-OFW.BIN on my usb stick to flash thanx

instead of using the > flash : fben command
you need to use the > restore : rben command... followed by the serial you used

example > rben 1234567 12345


i'm curious tho.. what is the reason for flashing back??

well to be honest i thought flashing back would not get u banned but i know u still can get banned

do i change this file name BENQ-OFW.BIN to BENQ-ORIG.BIN

Leave it named benq-ofw.bin. Thats how the program wrote it when the firmware was dumped, so thats what it will be looking for when you run the restore.

if u are flashing back because you think there is an update to collect - there isnt
yesterdays downtime was due to server maintanence /preperation for the update/ if u are flashing back & waiting until the update is released then that is not expected for another 6-12weeks

which is fine if u prefer to err on the side of caution.. & i'm just letting you know

thank u very much i got it to orig i was using the d instead of the r woo hoo so i was on the right track question is it worst to get banned from m$ with the hacked 360 or the original firmware or both wich is worst im guessing the hack ware
also yea i was reading on a sit were m$ is just getting things ready for the update

and would this be a good thing to flash back to original firmware before the m$ update

also learning how to flash back to orig is a good thing its easier than i thought

To have your console banned has no worse consequence. Whether you have hacked firmware installed or stock firmware and Microsoft gets a log that show you had a hacked firmware, those consequences are still the same. The console gets banned. Your xbox live account will still work on another console, just not the one that got banned. So either way, there is no "which is worse" when it comes to getting banned.

And yeah, if you want to go back to the hacked, just use the fben command. You already have the hacked firmware, so unless you delete it, you can just flash it back.

The commands are thus:

dben -- this command dumps the firmware and creates the hacked firmware.
fben -- flashes the hacked firmware to the drive.
rben -- restores the firmware that was dumped back to the drive.
