Hello all,

Im sorry for asking such a retarded question but i have been looking around how to mod or 'hack' a psp.i have looked around here but all the pictures on the tuts cant be viewed. Im getting mixed up with all the terms from various sources as well. ok ill tell you what i know first.

ok to mod a psp you need:
Pandora Battery (I have the phat psp)
magicstick offical sony memory stick (i have a 512 one)

Pandora's Battery
which i believe you can make out of an old battery by opening it up and desoldering a connection. but when i open it up there is no pcb exposed just a grey casing all around cept for the top.

MagicStick
You need to load your firmware on this that is going to be uploaded onto the eprom so you can play the backup games.

Can anyone send me a guide for idiots (with pictures :P)?
I have modded several 360's before and i am an IT technicians so im not completely fresh.

Thanks for any help

The pics work fine for me too. Not sure about your battery man, I've not seen any with a grey casing underneath. Could you post a pic of it?

Watch the video here and you should get an idea of how its supposed to go. viewtopic.php?f=138&t=1085" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If you don't plan to resolder, you can clip the pin using a set of really small pliers...

By now you would have seen a picture of which pin it is on which chip. Once you've got that done, most the work is done.

The only way you can test it is by trying to boot it with your magic stick. The worst that can happen is that it won't work.

so is it the circut board on the top that i have to do? cause on all the videos ive looked at the circut board is huge and takes up most of the battery. ive looked and cant find the chip. is it the chip that is marked in red? 27408 607a1 is the number marked on it, if that means anything. and there is a marking saying c01 near it (ive seen that on a few of the pictures)

From what I can tell, that is the circuit board, but try taking the pic from a little farther away so it won't be so blurry so I can tell for sure.

you're looking for one of the smaller chips to the right of the main IC, IC04 it is in particular. It is pin 5 you're after, which is under the '4' in IC04.

I can't get a decent photo with the camera I've got, but with a bit of searching (I think youtube has got a a few videos as well) you'll find the snaps you need.
