there are some that can get it to flash off there mobo.It can drive you crazy trying to do this.
To flash a benQ or samsumg you need a via.the benq will flash with some nforce.
to save your self some headache pick up this card
http://tekgems.com/Products/la-pci22-vt6421a.htm
i use this card and it works with everything so far.
if you dont see the D1 then the drive is not in debug mode.
it must do this before you can dump/flash the drive.

debug mode is like mode b on the hitachi's it basically puts the firmguard down so you can access the firmware. you NEED that sata card Cofree posted. dont do anything till you get it.

Just because the program in dos is running doesn't mean that you are accessing you drive. It's very touch and go as to which integrated satas work. Its well worth the $15 dollars or whatever it is to get the recommended sata card. It will probably save you a lot of time and headache. I know its hard to wait for them to send it, but it beats chasing a problem that you might not be able to solve.

man the way you get a benQ drive in debug mode is when the D1 starts flashing. That is the debug mode.
There are other ways to do this but they are much harder.

yea but i have it hooked up from my sata port in my motherboard and it find it and when i turn the drive on it starts like if it was going to dump and then it just does 0xd0 and 0x51 instead of 0xd1 and 0x51

the only chipsets that will work with a BenQ is a via6421 and some nforce.
This does not apply to mobo with those chipset.sometime it will work and others it won't
It don't matter that it kind of seees the drive if it does not do the job then its not going to work.
The best thing is to get the card that we all know to work with almost every computer.
