How long do you think its going to take to be able to update and be safe? whats it been like in the past?

if you are talking about the dash update.
i dont take it for 2 days.
i do have a 360 that i take it on just to see how things go.
its up to you though
With all the crap going on right now with some of the backups being bad i would just give it sometime.
ill post up what ever i find.

Last time, I waited 2 weeks before updating. It was probably overkill though. I figure a week max, couple of days should be good though as you know some people just can't resist temptation. Then again, there are a scant few who will update just to see what happens and report it, kind of a take one for the team type of thing.

yeah, im not going to update till i know for sure, just seeing what its been like. i know this isnt the first dash update so thats why i asked. i dont think i've ever updated actually.... ok well just keep us posted.

I updated already everthing seems to be good so far,and the xvid is working great alot better than transcode.I updated just to see if i'd get banned,as im looking for a reason to get a new xbox anyhow.lol So if anything happens ill post here to let yall know.

Can't say as I blame him really. Maybe he wants one with the new heatsinks and stuff to help with 3rrod or just that he wants a cool looking Elite model.

I updated mine as well. Xvid and Divx worked like a champ. Not banned yet, but since fixing my RROD system I can risk the ban.

Yep you pretty much hit the nail on the head,Want the bigger hard drive,Falcon board,And the benQ,also on a side note I seen where they have posted news that you can downgrade your kernnal with the timeing attack,if you go ahead in do the update.Just in case that is what your worried about in updateing.

I'm going to keep an eye on the scene till this evening. And if no one reports any ill effects, I'll be updating tonight. Divx, meet MY 360!! LOL!!

I was at my brothers and he's just updated. The update seems like a step back to me, aside from the divx/xvid stuff which i can already do on my cheap upscale player, also when on the arcade tab it includes 360 game demo's alonside the arcade games and the tab do not remember when it switch back.

Though plus point it seems much much smoother and faster to me now.

I've been waiting to update till i do my drive, would it even matter if i updated before i flash drive? or do drive first then update?
