ok ok... I know this has been bashed about but we havn't had this logged here!
The connectivity kit has always been a major tool for me & v3 takes care of lite-on key dumping.
It's nice to have all features in 1 box & this is a great candidate to replace my v2

Still looking at the maximus tool also but ultimatly i'm just waiting to see what 1.5 ixtreme is saying before I make my next move.

Man, that podger dude is on his game. Thats a pretty slick application in my book. Dunno why I didn't know about that till yesterday, but I did a hit 78 with it and it worked pretty good at getting the drive into mode b.

I will be modding a Hitachi drive next month (not sure which model). Are the current tutorials here up to date with the recent success of Hitachi modding?

my V3 pro kit arrived this morning - I have a handful of drives to fix but unfortunatly no benqs to replace with!
Just waiting on the 1.5 fw now

Yeah, I've got a few willing to let me take a look at their lite-ons. I don't have a V3 pro yet, but probably soon. I do have an rs-232 kit though that I've rigged up through my v2 kit. I've tested it with the loopback test and I get echoed replies so that should work if I wanted to do it that way. But I think I'll wait on the V3 and the 1.5 firmware as well.
