ms 28 flash prob

flashing my first ms 28 flashed many benq drives no probs but this seems to be a little different i have 6421 pci rosewill card xbox been grounded iprep 101 latest ix 1.4 8x firm so i get what seem to be a good dump key looked fine checked with fwtool no multi fffff i read multi 00 are bed to got 1 set of 00 in middle of string but firmtool did not give me an error so i flashed my drive seemed ok hook up the xbox error 65 i got the drive to open ive tried reflash ofw again goes through the motins perfectly still error 65 tried to coppy key from another ms 28 flashed it still red light in bottom right corner tried spoofing still same prob i must be missing somethimg read so much on this cant figure anthing out still not ready to give up if anybody could give a an idea or exp would be greatful

well man at this point the first thing i would do is a restore and try to just get it reading a orig disc.

you need your orig firmware(with good key) and do this restore.

if it a bad key it would have been all "fffff" or "oooooo"
just because it had 2 00 in the middle it should be fine.

figured iwas being paranoid wth the 2 00 but im graspinp at straws im not having any bad flash probs i wait 10 sec and it starts flashing every time. now when ive flashed my benq , and others i always remember it going to 4 banks , but thats the benq . mine updates from 0-2 then starts updating again then stops. im guesing i have a bad key thats all i can figure i even made firmware with firm maker in 1.4 folder still error 65. maybe my sata card i dont know ,but if anybody else has ideas or opinions id like to hear them thanks

Well, I looked at your OFW. It looks good to me. Right file size, doesn't throw any errors when I checked it with firmware toolbox and the key looks good. The only thing I can think of is the problem where its not flashing all the banks. With samsungs, it should flash bank 0, then 1, then 2 and finally bank 3. Give me a few minutes and I'll send you something to try just in case it's failing checksums on bank 2 or something but I don't think thats the problem at this point.
