Problem with iPrep
Hey guys, when I try to load my firmware into iPrep, I get this following error. I tried reinstalling and a different firmware, but same problem.
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
anyone have any clue what to do? thanks a lot.

Re: Problem with iPrep
I have the latest framework but not Java. Does Java even matter for stuff like that?
Re: Problem with iPrep
More than likely not, but I just scanned over the log and saw where it was talking about JIT compiler, so I figured I would mention it. I've never heard of the error that your seeing though. Does it do this when you press the button to search for the firmware or just after you've selected the firmware?

Re: Problem with iPrep
It's after I select the firmware. Hm, is there another way of doing this instead of using iPrep? Or maybe I should try an earlier version of iPrep? I have a Samsung MS25 and was planning on using iXtreme 1.3
Re: Problem with iPrep
Well, you don't have to use iprep at all. If you download dosflash from xbins. read the readme that comes with it. It tells you how to do it the original way.

Re: Problem with iPrep
I think I'll just wait and see if cofree remembers how he fixed it. Dosflash seems a little complicated for me. Thanks for the help though, I appreciate it.
Re: Problem with iPrep
if you are running on vista.there is not a fix yet that i can find.there are some vista that are giveing this.
you can try this for now and see what happens.
alright i finally got it to work. for some reason if you load iprep into hardrive c it will give you errors with vista. if you load iprep onto the desktop it will work perfect
keep iprep on the desktop if all file are on the desktop then this is not going to help.
im still looking.

Re: Problem with iPrep
try to make a boot flash on a different computer with your card.if it works its your computer.
i read that that error can be from a bad card.
go into your bios and reset all to default.
then try to build the flash it may not boot but i want to know if it will build the flash with no errors.
if you have a floppy let iprep build a boot on the floppy.
let me know what you get.

Re: Problem with iPrep
Yea, no other PC here at school. I'll have to wait til Christmas break to use another one :/ I can't see it being the card though. I was messing around with iPrep on my laptop and it would still load the FW no problem even though I don't have a SATA card.
Edit: and how can I build the flash if I can't load the firmware?
