I'm a little confused. How can I build a boot drive if the FW won't load? And wouldn't the computer need a SATA card?cofree wrote:if iprep is not getting what is looking for from the sata port it will not work.
if you are using a pubic computer they have it were you cant buid a boot drive.
try it on a floppy
And Jma, yea, I'm getting the error while loading the FW

schools are notorious for having certain things locked by the IT department or someone deleted a system file that its looking for. I would try it on a non-school pc, maybe a friends?

he is right.
if they have locked some or all of the access to the win32 files you will never get it going on that computer

Sorry we thought you meant you were using the school computer, but you were telling us that you only have one computer at school with you right?stick person wrote:Yea, no other PC here at school. I'll have to wait til Christmas break to use another one :/ I can't see it being the card though. I was messing around with iPrep on my laptop and it would still load the FW no problem even though I don't have a SATA card.
Edit: and how can I build the flash if I can't load the firmware?

Where are you getting the hacked fw from? There is really only one reliable source that I would use.
