ok just making sure. Did you try loading an older fw or version of iprep?

uninstall iprep101 v006
reboot your computer
install a new download of iprep 101 v006 from here

reboot your computer.
then try to load ixtreme v1.3 12x speed (i think you said you were doing a samsung drive)
if its a benq then load this
ixtreme v1,1 multispeed 12x speed
let me know how it goes

I think it may have worked. I don't think the DEF file was right. Hm, now on to flashing!

man this is your on going tread.so i answered you here.i loocked your post in the tutorials tread.there is just no reason to have 2 treads going.
if you computer is a older one it may not boot from the usb flash.
i would try to use a floppy
if you do make sure its a new floppy disc
you do it the same way as a flash but let iprep build the boot on a floppy disc.your computer should boot to the floppy with out doing anything in your bios.
