Hi, I just have a quick question? Can you play PAL games on an NTSC 360, flashed with ixtreme firmware? Thanks

Short answer. no. Region settings are stored on the 360 itself and not on the dvd drive so that makes it impossible to control through the firmware. Some games that are labeled as PAL or NTSC or other regions for that matter are region free from the game maker. So if you google searched for Xbox 360 region compatibility list you could find a list that tells you which games are region free and which are not.

Not sure of the exact details on this, but on one of the other forums they have changed the region code of a 360 using infectus...

I think it's done using a hex editor and the info from the KV (Keyfault) data...

there is a lot of stuff you can do with that chip installed.
hell you can unban a banned 360
there is only a handful of people that can install it 100% of the time.
the new chip maybe better for begainers to solder in.

Hopefully one day it will lead to easy homebrew... I'm nowhere near the level of the things some of these guys are doing, all I wanna do is run XBMC a few emus!

Is there a new infectus out?? And how easy is it to solder? I've read that you can downgrade from the latest (fall) update or do you need to have been on one of the exploitable kernels before you updated (I really should try and check how this all works before I ask)?

i want to load all my game on a TB drive and play off that.
