I bought a 360 w/Samsung off ebay that was flashed. My question is can I read the fw and reflash the drive with ixtreme with a lower read speed or do I need the ofw?

i think you would need the original fw, but don't quote me on that.

or i think even the key would suffice ?

cuz i believe all fw is the same for each brand/type drive, you just need to inject ur key into that drives fw an then make ur xspeed ixtreme with that as usual.

i think that would work.

get a dump of the firmware and make sure the key is good.make a copy for safe keeping.

first things first
is the console working will it play backups and orig.
if it will then all you have to do it
dump/flash just like it was orig.
just in iprep put in the firmware speed you want.
then dump/flash

It worked. I just read the drive as if it was the OFW and the keys looked good and then reflashed it. Worked like a charm. Thanks guys!
