Have you tried running the install from 2.5 and then copying the files from 2.8 over to the 2.5 installation folder?

Thanks that worked. do i need a specific DVD reader in order to make my backup because its not reading the disk in XBC. I have the blaster 360 am i able to make a backup from by reading the disk through the xbox? is there one of your famous tutorials about the operation of XBC?

you need a sh-d162c dvd drive or one like it
its a dvd drive that has been flash with kreon v100 firmware.
like this one.

i dont think i would flash back and forth that much
to dump withthe 0800 firmware in the console dvd drive

So i have to use that exact drive or a Samsung drive flashed with that firmware? There is no other drive i can use to properly dump a 360 game for a benq drive?

there are only some dvd drives that can be flashed with the kreon v100 firmware
you have to have one of those.
that is one of the easier one to find.
