i have a lite-on drive which is locked because of lite-on erase
now when i used dosflash 1.7 , after i typed dosflash nothing happened. it didn't list the drives that i have.

do you have any suggestions on what causing the problem.

the drive doesn't do anything if the drive freezes during erase in windows...

Do the erase in dos til you get status 0x72. You can do this by adding lite on erase to an iprep flash...

I had this problem in vista, erased in dos and dosflash picked up the drive first time after the restart

the thing is that i alread did the l-o-eras.exe and i got it on 72
but after that when i type dosflash and i hit eneter it gives "Dosflash v 1.7 ..." blah blah
and nothing happens

i don't know why?
do i need to unplug all the drives or what

so you cycled the power on the drive? Are you using a VIA card??

Does it even open?? As I say, I would try the erase in dos, then go to dosflash, see if that makes any difference...

make sure you power the drive off before you typoe dosflash
then power it back on after you enter that
