did you get a good key from it
it sound like the firmware that went in dont have a key or it has a bad key
did you use iprep if so look in the backup folder for the 3 files you need

I fixed it..........
I made a very simple mistake(so im saying anyway) but a stupid one.
when the drive locked up in jungleflasher, when i copied all the files over into iprep usb boot drive
rather than copy over lite_cfw.bin i copied over LIT-CFW.bin & flshed it with that.....
Only noticed after i went into the iprep ready drive to check files.
all fixed now though & working.

good job man
that is one thing everyone needs to keep in mind.
going from one program to another the file names need to be right.
At this point you should not be mixing programs.
We know jungle flasher does not work well with all via chipsets.
when you do half in one program and the flashing half in a different program there is just to much chance of a error.
I would do all lite-on flash with the new
iprep v8.6 (we have vidoe guides here)
So far it has flashed in many different via card with no problems.

So you do recommend iPrep now (you said there may be a problem in a thread I started). Thanks.

Yeah i'll be using jungle to get the key & build the hacked FW.
Then Iprep for the erasing & flashing very easy to do & i've never had Iprep fail on me.
If it wasn't for the fact that i've flashed many a drive through Iprep i dont think i would have noticed i put the wrong bin file in there....
although when i'm using Iprep & it asks to resend MTK i press y but i have to immediatly presss Esc then it gives me my drive number.
so it's slighty different to the usual process.

this is where the problem comes in.
doing half one way then the last haft a different way.
yu are better off at this point if you have a via chipset
to do the whole thing with the latest iprep

yea
your right
there is no usb support in dos so you have to use a rs232 cable.

Cofree, im gonna pretend as though this was a clean flash...
Tools Available (have more but for this scenario only)
1- XP obviously
2- Via Chipset
3- Iprep
4- ck3 pro with RS232 (I will be using the probe rather than bridge soldering the TX point)
5- LiteOn drive
Would i be able to flash the drive without needing to get the KEY from say jungleflasher???

yes
as long as you run the newest iprep v008.6
this is the only way i will recommend anyone do a lite-on till they get the bugs worked out of jungle flasher.
and
I know he is working around the clock on it.
Doing some of this in window's is very hard to say the least.
dont get me wrong
i think jungle flasher will be kick ass when its running smooth.
man
one program that will flash everything.
this was only a dream a year ago.

yeah i've got iprep v0008.6 but if team jungle get jungle flasher working smooth & for me that means no locking on VIA chipsets then i'm all for it but in the mean-time Iprep all the way baby.....
just on a side note do you happen to know if its going to continue using portIO?????
Only asking because how much my system hates it lol...
